About this day
TINT, WISE and Beyond present an inspiring evening to celebrate the United Nations 'International Day of Women and Girls in Science'.
Join us online on February 15th 2022, from 19:00-21:00, to listen to an amazing speaker, join an insightful workshop and inspire each other.
This year’s theme is “Boost your STEM esteem” to make you realise that you are already a STEM example for younger generations!
So, what can you expect?!
First, an incredible lecture by Vreneli Stadelmaier, author of 'F*ck die Onzekerheid' (in English 'Sure she can - Crush this insecurity') that will tell you all about the 'Imposter Syndrome', how to overcome fear and trust your capabilities.
Afterwards, you can choose to leave or stay to enjoy ONE of the following workshops (45mins) in a small and confidential setting:
- 'Set your Boundaries' by Lara Hofstra, TU/e Student Diversity Officer
Do you often avoid saying ‘no’? Feel overwhelmed by others' requests? Feel guilty to prioritize yourself? Learn how to be more assertive, communicate your needs and set clear personal boundaries. Practice how to gain more confidence and create your own mantra.
- 'Show Yourself to the World' by Margit van Tuijl, TINT Life Coach
How much effort do you put into showing a perfect image of yourself to the world? Why not give yourself more space for who you really are? Reflect on your personal traits and find more comfort in your own shoes.
- ‘The Power of Vulnerability’ by Marjan van Ganzenwinkel, Communication Expert \& Recruitment Manager
The author Brené Brown defines vulnerability as uncertainty, risk and emotional exposure. At first, this sounds quite scary, right? What if vulnerability could be a measure of courage or even one of our major strengths? Do you dare to allow yourself to be truly seen?
- 'Your Body, Your Language' by Rachelle van Andel, TINT Life Coach
Does your body give away your thoughts especially in challenging situations? Would you like to understand your own body better and how to self-soothe yourself in a stressful professional or personal situation? Explore and create a coping kit to deal better with triggering situations.
By the end of this online gathering, grab a nice cup of tea or a glass of wine, relax and digitally mingle with the rest of the participants for some nice chatting, to share your own experiences and sources of inspiration in career choices and life in general.
